  • Nishimura Shoji Master

    Shoji Nishimura is a chief karate instructor of USA Wado-ryu* Karate-do Renmei in California. He has over 35 years experience in Karate and has 7th degree black belt. In 1977, he was the karate club captain of Rissho University in Tokyo, Japan. While he was in the club, he participated in many kinds of karate tournaments and won many awards including several fighting-spirit prizes. He has won numerous awards at tournaments in the United States, Japan and England:
  • Nishiyama Hidetaka

    Hidetaka Nishiyama's personal path began even before his birth, around the 17th or 18th century when the Way of the Empty Hand (Karate Do) first took root. In 1939 Gichin Funakoshi, pen-named “Shoto”, established a dojo to teach modern-day karate which he called Shotokan. At age 15, Nishiyama began training with Funakoshi and proceeded to dedicate the next 65 years of his life following the path of Traditional Karate.

  • Hikumo Dragon Master

    1955/2007 Dragon Hikumo (of his real name Noiraki Fujita) was a Japanese master. He played an important role in the spread of Chinese martial arts in Japan. He practiced tai chi yang and various Chinese martial arts styles learned in taiwan and china (including snake and drunk boxing). He has written books, appeared on television and in magazines. He died in 2007 at 51 years of kidney disease. (see zui quan)
